Personalized Wedding Candles

Personalized wedding unity candles are still the most widely used in wedding ceremonies. Where do you start designing your candle, what do I put on the candles?

There are so many different candles and candle sets. The traditional wedding unity candle is your standard 8 x 3 with your 2 10″ tapers.There is also family set which includes the standard candles and 2 2×6″ candles, these candles are used to personalize with the families name. These candles are very important is some religions such as catholic.

Designing your candle.
After picking your candle set you have to design it. First you need to pick your theme of your wedding and colour of your wedding. The most widely used designs are still flowers eg. roses, calla lily, but if you are having a winter wedding, destination wedding, or fairytale wedding there are many available images to fit your theme.

Picking your font.
With 100′s of different fonts on the internet the most widely used is the traditional fonts. This is your wedding and today there is a move away from the traditional font to a more modern font. This is your day and a great way to express yourself. The internet is a great way to see all the different fonts available and 100′s can be downloaded for free.

What to put on the candle.
Names are always done in a traditional way with the females name goes first. The names should always follow the date, but the names should be in a larger font then the date. Try adding a monogram on the candle with the names.

Verses:
There are hundreds of verses that can be added to the candle but not always. There is a 50-50 choice on putting verses on the candle. One famous verse widely used on candles are: “From this day forward, you shall not walk alone. My heart will be your shelter, and my arms will be your home”, or “This day i will marry my friend. The one i laugh with, live for, dream with, Love.”

Ribbons
You can also add ribbon to your candle and there are many choices in this part. Styles of ribbon are satin, organza, and organza with satin edge. This is where you can used your colours in your wedding as many ribbons come in over 30 colours.
