Rustic Wedding Tips

Rustic barn weddings are trending. They can be visually stunning while maintaining a casual feel. Here are some fantastic ideas for rustic barn wedding decorations.

Great lighting can be one of the most attractive ways to dress up a barn. The open space can look shadowed when not properly lit. Lanterns with LED lighting are one of the most effective lighting sources for this environment.

The Barn should be filled with a high pillar candle to bring a colour effect to your wedding.  Another unlikely lighting idea is to hang strings of our sphere LED lights, around the rafters of the barn. You can also use a round glass candle holder to suspend the light over the dance floor, these must be filled with our LED lights which will last 48 hrs or more.

Wreaths always look incredible for a barn wedding. They fit in with the rustic theme as they are made up from a number of different materials. A wreath made of wheat or moss with a satin or burlap ribbon attached produce a rustic elegance when hung on a barn door. Romantic rustic wreath are commonly made of dry flowers and they would be hung on the wall behind the front table. Tiny wreaths of lavender are pretty as well. When placed on the back of the bride and brides grooms chairs, these wreaths add  plenty of character to your wedding welcome.

Flowers are important in a wedding. Traditional flowers like tulips, lilies, and orchids tend to look outdated in a rustic atmosphere. The best suited flowers are casual blossoms due to their country feeling. Examples of these are craspedia, dahlias, sunflower and mums. These flowers should be incorporated with other non-floral accents into centerpieces and bouquets. The most popular accent used today is burlap. Roses can be used with a accent of burlap and are widely used in today's rustic themes.

Burlap is used as a accent and also for table runners, aisle runners and favour wrapping. Wooden items are also popular with decorations such as center pieces, cake table decorations and much more. Other decorations and favours used in weddings are water cans, mason jars, lace, vintage items and western themed items.

Rustic wedding have been trending for the last 2 years and they show  no signs of letting up.
